Apollo's MCP server connects its 230M+ contact database straight to Claude — search prospects, enrich records, and push them into sequences without leaving the chat. If Apollo is your data and outreach engine, this turns Claude into a hands-on operator for it.

What is the Apollo MCP server?
Apollo launched its native MCP in February 2026. It exposes Apollo's core API as tools Claude can call directly: people and company search, contact and company enrichment, creating or updating records, and adding prospects to Apollo sequences. Because it's native, the data is live — Claude queries Apollo in real time rather than working from a stale export.
There are two ways to connect:
- Native connector (recommended): available inside Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Authenticate with OAuth — no API key, no server to host.
- Self-hosted community server: several open-source Apollo MCP servers exist on GitHub for developers who want to run their own with an Apollo API token.
How to connect Apollo to Claude
- In Claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors.
- Find Apollo in the connector directory, or add the custom connector URL from Apollo's MCP docs.
- Authenticate with OAuth — sign in to your Apollo account in the browser window that opens and approve access.
- Confirm the connection. Apollo's tools now appear in Claude.
In Claude Code, register the server with the HTTP transport and complete the browser sign-in:

No API key is needed for the native connector — OAuth handles authentication.
What you can do with Apollo in Claude
Once connected, the workflows that hold up:
- Build a prospect list on demand. "Find 25 heads of marketing at Series B SaaS companies in the US." Apollo searches its database and returns matches.
- Enrich a contact or company by name, email, domain or LinkedIn URL — get verified details without opening Apollo.
- Create or update records in Apollo directly from the conversation.
- Add prospects to an existing Apollo sequence so research-to-outreach happens in one flow.
- Pull account context before a call — company data, headcount, and key people for a quick brief.
Apollo MCP vs a dedicated enrichment layer
Apollo's enrichment is strong in the US but patchier across EU and APAC, and it's a single source — when Apollo doesn't hold a verified email or mobile, the lookup ends there. For international lists or higher hit rates, pair Apollo with a waterfall layer like FullEnrich, which cascades 20+ providers and runs in Claude through its own MCP. A common setup: Apollo for search + sequencing, FullEnrich for the verified contact data.
Gotchas
- The native connector needs a paid Apollo plan for meaningful volume — the free plan's credits run out fast.
- International data quality varies; verify EU/APAC contacts before you send.
- It's a database + engagement tool, not a pure waterfall, so don't expect specialist hit rates on hard-to-find people.
- Actions write to your live Apollo account — review what Claude proposes before you confirm bulk changes.
Is the Apollo MCP worth setting up?
If Apollo is already your stack, yes. Running search, enrichment and sequencing from Claude removes real friction, and the native OAuth setup takes a couple of minutes. Add a waterfall enrichment MCP alongside it to cover Apollo's data gaps, and you've got a top-of-funnel that mostly runs itself.
